Workforce Empowerment & Readiness Division
Equipping the next generation to lead, work, and thrive.
This division delivers transformative workforce development programs for individuals ages 16 and up, with a focused emphasis on ages 16–24. Offered exclusively through partnerships with schools, churches, and community organizations, these programs focus on life skills, career readiness, emotional wellness, and employer connection. Through grant-funded collaborations, we equip the next generation for leadership, employment, and self-sufficiency.

S.T.E.P. Workforce Development Series: Support. Training. Employment. Purpose.
Safe Places Coaching & Development proudly introduces the S.T.E.P. Program Series, a tiered workforce development model built to equip youth and young adults with the skills, mindset, and confidence to lead, work, and thrive. Each program is rooted in trauma-informed care, personal development, and real-world readiness—serving as a launchpad to sustainable transformation.
We currently offer three distinct pathways:
S.T.E.P. IN: Becoming Her
For high school girls ages 14–18
S.T.E.P. IN is a dynamic after-school program designed to help young women discover who they are becoming. Through mentorship, faith-based reflection, leadership training, and career exploration, participants develop self-awareness, confidence, and purpose—all while preparing for post-secondary success.
S.T.E.P. UP: Becoming Him
For high school boys ages 14–18
S.T.E.P. UP empowers young men to rise into purpose-driven leadership. Centered on identity, discipline, and community impact, this cohort builds character, enhances workforce readiness, and strengthens their ability to make wise, values-aligned decisions.S.T.E.P. Forward
For young adults ages 18–24
S.T.E.P. Forward is a pre-apprenticeship and workforce readiness program focused on transitioning young adults into employment, training, or entrepreneurship. Participants engage in intensive life skills coaching, career pathway exploration, professional development, and goal planning. This program is ideal for organizations preparing young adults for job placement, training programs, or transitional living.All three programs can be integrated into existing school, faith-based, or community initiatives. Whether you're a school, church, nonprofit, or workforce provider—we’re seeking aligned partners who want to implement S.T.E.P. as a foundation for youth success.
